Tina Weirather is an alpine skier. She is born 1989 in Vaduz, the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein.

Born in a ski family, Tina made her World Cup debut at age 16. Both parents and even her uncle are former ski racers and have won World Cup titles. Most notably, mother Hanni Wenzel won two Olympic gold medals.

The 2014 Sochi Olympics are Tina Weirather‘s second attempt to win an Olympic medal, since an injury prevented her to participate in Vancouver 2010.

Tina Weirather injured her right knee just before the 2010 Winter Olympics and therefore missed the Games. Four years later, once again she was very unlucky to injure herself in the beginning of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Thus Tina missed the first starts, hoping that she’ll recover for the Women’s Super-G.
